Yes, when they are used correctly. The systems have sensors and protections that prevent direct exposure to UV-C radiation. Some models can even operate while people are present.

Yes. Although the lamp lights up and emits visible light, the emission of active UV-C radiation gradually decreases as the mercury vapour inside it is consumed. Replacing the lamps on schedule is therefore necessary to maintain optimal efficiency.
Periodic cleaning, checking the quartz sleeves and the UV sensors where applicable and, of course, replacing the lamps at the recommended interval. We offer specialised service for any UV water system.
Yes, we recommend installing an impurity filter before the UV system to prevent deposits on the quartz sleeve and on the UV sensor. The water must have low turbidity and contain no Fe or Mn.
UV water systems are installed as close as possible to the end consumer, after the water storage tanks.
UV systems use ultraviolet C radiation (UV-C), which inactivates bacteria, viruses and mould by destroying their genetic material. The process is fast, ecological and leaves no chemical residues.
From a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the surface or the volume of air. For continuously operating systems, the hygiene level is maintained for as long as the equipment runs.
Yes. There are solutions adapted to all types of spaces, and UV disinfection can even be carried out while the space is occupied.
