Light progress UV-SMELL-SQ, UV air treatment system for commercial kitchen hoods

Light Progress UV-SMELL-SQ is a UV-C system for professional kitchen hoods, exhaust ductwork and centralised ventilation installations in commercial or industrial kitchens. The modules reduce grease deposits, unpleasant odours and fire risk, helping create a safer working environment and extend filter service life.

• Reduces grease deposits: exposing grease particles to UV-C energy promotes oxidation reactions, helping reduce deposits in the hood, plenum chamber and exhaust ductwork.

• Reduces cooking odours: by treating the air stream loaded with grease and organic compounds, the system helps reduce unpleasant odours discharged from professional kitchens.

• Helps reduce fire risk: limiting grease accumulation in the extraction system reduces one of the factors that can contribute to fire propagation in hoods and ventilation ducts.

• UV-C options with or without ozone: the system can be configured with ozone-free UV-C lamps, UV-C+O₃ lamps or a combination of both, depending on application requirements and the selected air-treatment strategy.

• Optional photocatalytic filtration: the TiOx® filter, incorporating nanostructured titanium dioxide and silver salts, can complement UV-C action by degrading organic and inorganic compounds, including VOCs, SOVs and NOx.
