SITA UV SBT is a professional range of UV-C systems for disinfecting wastewater, industrial water and liquids with low UV transmittance. Designed for demanding treatment installations, the series combines a 316L stainless-steel reactor, automatic quartz-sleeve cleaning and continuous UV irradiance monitoring for reliable control of the disinfection process.



  • Designed for water with low UVT: the SBT series is intended for liquids with UV transmittance of approximately 45–75% at 1 cm, making it a suitable solution for wastewater treatment.

  • Automatic quartz-sleeve cleaning: all models include an automatic wiper system that helps limit fouling and maintain efficient UV-C radiation transmission.

  • Process monitoring and alarms: the selective UV-C sensor measures irradiance, while the controller signals insufficient UV levels, lamp shutdown, or elevated reactor temperatures to the control panel.

  • Advanced integration with plant automation: the TC PLUS touchscreen panel enables manual or automatic lamp-power adjustment based on dose or flow rate, data logging, remote control and communication via CAN, Ethernet, USB, serial, Modbus, TCP/IP or CANopen.


Recommended applications

SITA UV SBT is suitable for wastewater-treatment plants, industrial water-treatment and reuse facilities, and processes where water contains particles, UV-absorbing compounds or other contaminants that reduce UV-radiation transmittance. Final system sizing should be based on flow rate, UV transmittance, water quality, the target microorganism and the required UV dose.

Between 8,000 and 12,000 hours, depending on the model. After this period the efficiency drops because the mercury vapour inside the lamps is consumed.
We recommend replacing the lamps on time, according to the technical recommendations of the product.
For products in stock we deliver by courier in approximately 1-2 working days. For products that are not in stock, the delivery time is between 2 and 4 weeks.
Between 12 and 24 months, depending on the manufacturer. UV lamps have different warranties depending on the manufacturer.
Original OEM consumables are made by the equipment manufacturer and guarantee 100% compatibility.
CERTIFIED equivalent lamps are alternatives with the same performance and the same service life, but at a lower price.
OEM spare parts are 100% compatible with the equipment they are used for. Consumables requested by customers (UV lamps, quartz sleeves, electronic ballasts) are checked against the original product codes and technical characteristics before being quoted. Their compatibility with the equipment they were requested for is guaranteed.
