UV system for water, 1000 m3/h, 315 W

Wedeco TAK 55 is a modular UV disinfection system for wastewater, water-reuse and high-flow aquaculture applications. Designed for municipal and industrial plants, it combines EcoRay® amalgam lamps, real-time UV-intensity monitoring and automatic mechanical cleaning, without the addition of chemicals.

  • Sizing for very high flow rates: the system can be configured from approximately 500 m³/h up to several thousand m³/h, making it suitable for large wastewater-treatment and water-reuse plants.

  • Performance in water with low UV transmittance: hydraulically optimised modules and a compact lamp arrangement support the treatment of water with UV transmittance between 35% and 75% at 1 cm.

  • Dose control based on actual measurement: the OptiDose™ system uses an ÖNORM-certified UV-intensity sensor to adjust lamp power according to real operating conditions.

  • Automatic, chemical-free cleaning: PTFE wiping rings clean the quartz sleeves and help reduce organic and inorganic fouling that can decrease UV transmission. Cleaning frequency can be adapted to water quality.

  • Integration with plant automation: the EcoTouch™ controller or PLC-based control provides individual lamp monitoring, status and alarm signals, process values and SCADA communication. 


Recommended applications

TAK 55 is recommended for UV disinfection of wastewater following primary, secondary or tertiary treatment, for water-reuse projects and for aquaculture facilities. Because of its modular design, the final configuration should be determined based on the design flow rate, the water’s UV transmittance, the required dose and the plant’s hydraulic configuration.

Between 8,000 and 12,000 hours, depending on the model. After this period the efficiency drops because the mercury vapour inside the lamps is consumed.
We recommend replacing the lamps on time, according to the technical recommendations of the product.
For products in stock we deliver by courier in approximately 1-2 working days. For products that are not in stock, the delivery time is between 2 and 4 weeks.
Between 12 and 24 months, depending on the manufacturer. UV lamps have different warranties depending on the manufacturer.
Original OEM consumables are made by the equipment manufacturer and guarantee 100% compatibility.
CERTIFIED equivalent lamps are alternatives with the same performance and the same service life, but at a lower price.
OEM spare parts are 100% compatible with the equipment they are used for. Consumables requested by customers (UV lamps, quartz sleeves, electronic ballasts) are checked against the original product codes and technical characteristics before being quoted. Their compatibility with the equipment they were requested for is guaranteed.
